dossier's Incredible Page O'Updates!

I though I'd keep track of the little changes I make to the site, ya know sort of a history. Just an amusing excercise in linking.

• July 25, 2009
  • Moved Precept's vid page to it's own folder, and added online viewing pages, as iMeem decided to be assholes and remove all music vids. So there! It was a very interesting exercise in embedding video for both FF & IE, and getting the controls to show. Also, changed link on the site map
  • Updated Ill Conceived Art with two covers for 'Theseus' Paradox, Or, A Post Modern Romance in 26 Parts, and two of my niece Linda.
  • Updated links on the sitemap to local relative links, and discovered that I didn't have the files local... doh!

  • Added a new story cover to ill conceived art, and some more 'found' icons
  • Updated The Piltdown Moose with an interview about the library of Dr. Darloss!
  • Added a favicon to the east/west folder, but I'm not sure I like it.

  • Cleaned up links to old 'Stories' page to the correct index
  • updated stories with LJ links to comments
  • Added a 'found' picture to Ill Conceived Art.
  • Updated the index, and prepapred the way for links to a story that's upcoming. If it ever gets out of beta and I get the nerve to post it.

  • Added several stories to the stories page; Added a new page for Precept's videos. EEEEEE Boy Unit's making videos!

  • Decided it was time for an overhaul of a particular section, the Stories.
  • changed all the stories over to CSS/XHTML, reindexed everything on slashindx.html,
  • changed the TOC on that page to CSS compliant tables.
  • There's been a handful of stories added since the last update. thanks to grsites.com for the custom background tile.

  • Wow, I hadn't realized that it had been so long since my last update! I added three stories:

  • Made a lot of updates since November, but but was a bad Domainatrix and neglected to update here. No biscuit for me! {chortle}
  • Added several pages to the Site Map o'Doom (I love this site map btw, it's terribly easy to add things to, and it really has become the heart of my website):
  • Britta's Christmas
  • Vacation pictures
  • sibling family portraits
  • Glamour!Shots of my sister and me. Whee!
  • Updated the story pages with 3 new stories, 'Rubicon', 'The Earth Died Screaming, Or, A Journey to the Edge While Marching On a Road of Bones', and 'Nova Vitae'.
  • There was also an attempt at cataloging some of the stuff I've done in Photoshop, etc--but there was some discussion over a few pictures that I distinctly remember working on, but were claimed by another. I'm still in a bit of snit over that, so the page is offline.

  • Wow, been a while since I updated this page--below are accumulated changes. Happy birthday, chris!
  • Changed the entire layout and background, giving lie to the 'smart ass' angle.
  • Did away with Frames and moved to an illustrated sitemap, so far, I'm loving it. that means trying to remove the old TOC from the bottom of every page, and changing it to the Home & Sitemap. Much neater.
  • checked a few links and repaired them, added the Orlando, Race For The Cure, and the Piltdown Moose pages.
  • Attempted to validate the main page with Transitional HTMl4.01, but since it's like HTML1.0, it failed miserably. Will consider this.
  • Loaded a local version of Rubicon(among others), still working on an appropriate image.
  • Attempted to find out why the Andale Mono Font won't down load. Dont' know, doesn't work.
  • I'm considering a thumbnail index of all images. May be too much work to keep updated, so maybe just an index.

  • Made a page for the pictures from my trip to Houston for the USA Team Handball Championships.
  • Added two stories, "Threshold" and "Shopping Spree 7". Shopping was to repair a dead link, the round robin page it was on is gone.
  • Found some new gifs that match-sort of. Updated and New!
• May 31, 2004
  • Sometime in late April, my former webhost went away, leaving me and many others stranded. I finally landed at Eroute. It's cheap enough and has twice as much space for less money. Yay! Most of the changes are invisible to the viewer, but anytime I move servers, I get the urge to do a little house work:
  • fixed broken links to some pictures posted in an online forum.
  • Updated the Friends & Family page.
  • Added a Unimoose Pictures page viewable to all, link on the F&F page.

  • Finally made the move to frames. Been working on it for a week or so. The nonframes page is at http://www.zonezine.net/~dossier/dossier.html
  • Added a general stories page viewable to all
  • Added "Streets of Smallville" to the site
  • Fixed broken link to "Family Portrait", and made a new page for it, while I had PSP open.

  • Added Susie's vacation pictures to index table.

  • I went in and kinda removed a bunch of stuff a few months ago, bars, BG, etc in preparation for renovating, then flat ran out of steam. So, the webpage languished while I generated stream. With PhotoshopCS (da bomb, I tell you) I was able to clean off the telephone wires that marred my picture of St. Basil's in Moscow. Whee! I also found the image of the Red Army insginia and made it 'transparent' (ha, I tell you!). So, to wit:
  • Added picture of St. Basil.
  • Added insignia badge as separator
  • Scrounged up miscellaneous pages I'd made in the last few months.
  • Added new Guest book! Fresh and clean, waiting for you to sign!
  • Reinstated weblog, roman_a_clef. Missed, it really.
  • added the Matisse ITC font download.
  • Still need to update the friends and family picture page, and I also have updated my slash page. You'll note the distinct lack of cute cursors, or java boxes.
• February 21, 2003:
  • Geez, Louise! I moved the site from AT&T to my own domain, as I got DSL and there was no web page with the new ISP. So, after like 5 years with AT&T, I'm going to Ma Bell.
  • I updated all the links, new site has folders for images, audio and html. Nice to be organized!
  • Added the Moving Chris and MTI page to the Table O'Contents
  • deleted roman_a_clef, since Blog is Dead.
  • created an unlisted page with story index. Not for the faint of heart.
• July 06, 2002:
  • New background I made with Adobe Photoshop from a photo of the Toronto skyline. Kewl.
  • Mouse Trail from the guys at Dynamic Drive.com. Festive little bugger.
  • Gave up trying to make my own bars... borrowed them from Here.
  • Forgot to bookmark the page I got the pachebel's canon from. eep!
  • More updates to come later, when I can think of something clever to say.

  • A Long time coming, and again a complete over haul.
  • Dropped avatar image and went with the fixed background image. This was a Christmas Card I got at the office, and with the marvels of PSP, it's now totally different!
  • Loaded the new Elastic cursor script, courtesy of Dynamic Drive and the author of the script, Kurt Grigg.
  • Added a directory index to the table at the bottom of the main page only.
  • Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto #4 F Minor, known to the rest of us as "Winter" was taken from Midi World.
  • Updated Email Logo to deflect SPAM,
  • and removed the guest book from the site for the same reason.
• October 01, 2000:
  • Gosh, what *didn't* change?? It might be a shorter list!
